Barilla Solar

BNB was the originating developer of Barilla Solar, in Pecos County, Texas, west of Fort Stockton. BNB assembled the acreage and secured an interconnection agreement for the project, which sits directly adjacent to the existing Barilla substation and lays claim to one of the best solar resources in the state. BNB sold the project to First Solar, which completed construction on an 18MWac first phase in September 2014 and began selling the electricity it generates directly into the grid on a merchant basis, the first such solar asset to do so in Texas.
