BNB VILLA AHUMADA Solar I
BNB Villa Ahumada Solar I is one of Mexico’s largest operating solar farms, with a capacity of 150MWac. The project, now owned by ENGIE Mexico, is located in the State of Chihuahua, halfway between the cities of Chihuahua and Ciudad Juarez, and ties into the large Moctezuma substation adjacent to federal Highway 45. BNB worked closely with the local landowners and other local and state stakeholders to ensure the success of the project, which won a power purchase agreement in CENACE’s third “subasta” (auction) in 2017.
